About Sunshine

Meet Sunshine, a lovely little dog with a gentle soul who is ready to find a family willing to help her discover all the good things life has to offer. She has not had many opportunities to experience everyday life, so she can find unfamiliar people, places and situations a little daunting. Sunshine is looking for a calm and understanding home where she can take everything at her own pace. She will benefit from adopters who are committed to building her confidence through gentle encouragement, positive, reward based training and lots of reassurance as she learns about the world around her. As Sunshine is not yet confident walking on a lead, she will need a home with a fully secure garden where she can safely enjoy the outdoors while she develops this important new skill before venturing further afield. A confident canine companion would make a huge difference to Sunshine, helping her feel more secure as she settles into home life. She could live with a friendly resident dog of a similar size or Sunshine could be rehomed alongside one of her canine friends. Sunshine could live with calm, gentle and patient teenagers aged 16 years and over who will understand that she needs time and space to build trust. For the right family, Sunshine will be a truly rewarding companion. Watching her grow in confidence, celebrate new experiences and learn to enjoy family life will make every milestone feel extra special.

Now you've decided that you're ready to welcome a new furry friend in your life, it's time to meet the dogs available for adoption.

You can search for a dog based on your location and lifestyle. We have dogs available for adoption across the whole of Ireland. While some dogs are based at our rehoming centre in Dublin, many of our dogs live all over Ireland with foster carers or their current owners until they can find their forever homes. The best way to find out how you can meet them is to fill out an application.

If you are hoping to adopt a puppy, we're happy to discuss this as part of the application process. Please bear in mind that we don’t usually add their rehoming profiles to our website as puppies grow and change in appearance so quickly.

Please bear in mind, if you are looking for a very specific breed, size or temperament, or have a very busy household, it may take longer for us to find your perfect match.

Many of the dogs in our care may have had a difficult start in life, or have specific medical or behavioural needs, and need a quieter household or one with no other pets. We try to match each dog with a family where we think they will have the best chance of success.
