About Sandcastle

Meet Sandcastle, a sweet and delicate little dog who is ready to find a patient family to call her own. She has a gentle nature and is beginning to discover just how lovely love and attention can be. Although she can be a little unsure at first, it is clear that she wants to make friends and, given time, her affectionate side starts to shine through. Sandcastle is looking for calm and understanding adopters who will let her build confidence at her own pace. She enjoys having people around but will appreciate a family who will allow her to come to them when she feels comfortable, helping her continue to grow in confidence. She could live with gentle and respectful teenagers aged 14 years and over who will understand her sensitive nature and give her the space she needs to settle into home life. Although Sandcastle has lived with other dogs in the past, she would prefer to be the only dog in her new home so she can enjoy all the love and attention for herself. As Sandcastle has not yet learned to walk on a lead, she will need a home with a fully secure garden where she can safely explore and begin practising this important new skill. With patient, positive training, she will be able to build her confidence before taking on adventures further afield. For the right family, Sandcastle will be a wonderfully rewarding companion. With kindness, patience and plenty of reassurance, she is sure to blossom into a loyal little friend who will enjoy nothing more than sharing her life with the people she loves.

Now you've decided that you're ready to welcome a new furry friend in your life, it's time to meet the dogs available for adoption.

You can search for a dog based on your location and lifestyle. We have dogs available for adoption across the whole of Ireland. While some dogs are based at our rehoming centre in Dublin, many of our dogs live all over Ireland with foster carers or their current owners until they can find their forever homes. The best way to find out how you can meet them is to fill out an application.

If you are hoping to adopt a puppy, we're happy to discuss this as part of the application process. Please bear in mind that we don’t usually add their rehoming profiles to our website as puppies grow and change in appearance so quickly.

Please bear in mind, if you are looking for a very specific breed, size or temperament, or have a very busy household, it may take longer for us to find your perfect match.

Many of the dogs in our care may have had a difficult start in life, or have specific medical or behavioural needs, and need a quieter household or one with no other pets. We try to match each dog with a family where we think they will have the best chance of success.
