Poor little pup Teddy is just one victim of Ireland’s canine crisis.
He was found under a pallet in an industrial estate. We don’t know how he got there, but we do know that he was alone and frightened, surrounded by flies and wasps, with huge trucks speeding past.
It took four people to lift the heavy pallet and it was a little while before we were able to coax him out because he was so scared. When we did manage to get a closer look at him, we saw that Teddy was dirty, a bit stinky, and covered in fleas.
Once we’d cleaned Teddy up, one of our lovely Canine Carers fostered him, and he got so much love and attention that he soon grew into a happy, confident little fellow.
We had no trouble finding this handsome chap a new home with a loving family, but there are so many other dogs out there who are lost, lonely and afraid.
