Maintenance & Gardening Volunteer
Location: Dublin Rehoming Centre
Purpose of the Role:
To assist the Maintenance Operative by maintaining outdoor areas and keeping the centre clean, tidy and well-presented.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist the Maintenance Operative in the maintenance of the centre and grounds
- To complete general outdoor duties including weeding and tidying the paths and mowing the grass
- Work alongside the Maintenance Operative
- Be knowledgeable on the work of Dogs Trust Ireland
Time Commitment:
Flexible volunteering hours available. Ideally, we are looking for a volunteer who can commit to at least a four-hour shift once a week.
Skills Required:
- Passionate about dogs and dog welfare
- Good level of physical fitness. Dogs Trust Dublin Rehoming Centre sits on 7 acres of land which requires continuous maintenance and upkeep of the grounds
- Ability to work in a close-knit team or alone
- Conscientious with a can-do attitude and the ability to follow instruction
