About Perez

Perez has been patiently waiting since 2023 for a place to finally call his own. This relaxed and friendly lurcher has a gentle nature and enjoys easy-going walks where he can take in his surroundings at his own pace. He's always happy to meet new people and, while he can occasionally get a little jumpy in his excitement to make a new friend, it's all part of his sweet and affectionate personality. Perez is a real cuddle bug at heart. After a stroll or some playtime in the garden, you'll find him happily curled up in the comfiest spot he can claim. Perez is also a big fan of his food, which makes him a great candidate for enrichment activities. He loves puzzle feeders and games that keep his mind busy. He enjoys hopping into the car and is more than happy to join his people on little adventures, making him a wonderful companion for those who like to explore new places together. Perez forms strong bonds with his people and can find it difficult when they leave, so he would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to help him gradually build confidence with being alone. He's looking to be the star of the show, which means he'll need to be the only pet in the home. He will also be happiest exploring quieter walking areas where he won't feel overwhelmed by lots of other dogs. With the right home, Perez will be a loyal, loving companion who brings warmth, comfort, plenty of cuddles to every single day.

Now you've decided that you're ready to welcome a new furry friend in your life, it's time to meet the dogs available for adoption.

You can search for a dog based on your location and lifestyle. We have dogs available for adoption across the whole of Ireland. While some dogs are based at our rehoming centre in Dublin, many of our dogs live all over Ireland with foster carers or their current owners until they can find their forever homes. The best way to find out how you can meet them is to fill out an application.

If you are hoping to adopt a puppy, we're happy to discuss this as part of the application process. Please bear in mind that we don’t usually add their rehoming profiles to our website as puppies grow and change in appearance so quickly.

Please bear in mind, if you are looking for a very specific breed, size or temperament, or have a very busy household, it may take longer for us to find your perfect match.

Many of the dogs in our care may have had a difficult start in life, or have specific medical or behavioural needs, and need a quieter household or one with no other pets. We try to match each dog with a family where we think they will have the best chance of success.
