Nala truly is a one-in-a-million kind of dog. Not only is she the superstar Sponsor Dog for Dogs Trust, she also has the most unique, quirky personality that draws you in more and more the better you get to know her. She's a very special girl looking for an equally special home. Having spent most of her life in kennels, Nala hasn't had much experience of home life or the wider world. Because of this, she's searching for a calm, patient, adult-only family who have the time and commitment to go at her pace, continue her training, and appreciate her for exactly who she is. New things, such as unfamiliar people or places, can feel quite scary for Nala, and she needs time and space to build confidence. While she may be reserved at first, once Nala forms a bond she is completely devoted, becoming your loyal shadow for life. She would love a home with her own garden where she can safely explore and adjust to life outside of kennels in a gentle, low-pressure way. Nala can feel conflicted around other dogs, so she would like to be the only pet in the home and enjoy walks in quiet areas where she can decompress without unexpected encounters. True to her lurcher roots, she doesn't need lots of exercise. Short walks, the occasional zoom around the garden, and plenty of rest suit her perfectly. A true queen of comfort, Nala's favourite pastime is burrowing into duvets and blankets. After a gentle walk or a zoom around the garden, she'll happily wrap herself up on the couch and snooze the day away.
