About Gabriella

Gabriella is a petite young girl with a big personality and a very special story. She came to Dogs Trust as a mum, and after doing such a wonderful job raising her puppies, they have all now found loving homes. Its finally Gabriellas turn to find a family of her own! Gabriella has been through a lot in her young life, so meeting new people can feel a little scary at first. She may need some time to understand that she is safe and that she can trust the people around her. But once she has had the chance to warm up at her own pace, her wonderful personality begins to shine through. Before long, this once-worried girl becomes a wriggly, giddy bundle of fun who absolutely loves cuddles, attention and playtime! Gabriella also really enjoys the company of other dogs and could potentially live with a confident, friendly canine companion who can help her feel more secure as she settles into home life. Having a doggy friend to show her the ropes and join her for endless games could be a wonderful boost to her confidence. A secure garden will be essential for Gabriella while she learns to walk happily on lead. Her new family will need to be prepared to take this process slowly, allowing her to build confidence before expecting her to tackle the wider world. Gabriella is looking for a home with adults or older teens who will be patient, understanding and willing to let her set the pace. Her adopters will need to take the time to learn her body language, recognise when she is feeling unsure and support her gently as she adjusts to her new life. For Gabriella, the journey will be all about patience, trust and celebrating the little steps forward. In return, her new family will get to watch a beautiful young girl blossom into the happy, affectionate and playful companion she has been waiting to become. Gabriella has already given so much to others. Now she is ready for someone to give her the time, love and security she deserves.

Now you've decided that you're ready to welcome a new furry friend in your life, it's time to meet the dogs available for adoption.

You can search for a dog based on your location and lifestyle. We have dogs available for adoption across the whole of Ireland. While some dogs are based at our rehoming centre in Dublin, many of our dogs live all over Ireland with foster carers or their current owners until they can find their forever homes. The best way to find out how you can meet them is to fill out an application.

If you are hoping to adopt a puppy, we're happy to discuss this as part of the application process. Please bear in mind that we don’t usually add their rehoming profiles to our website as puppies grow and change in appearance so quickly.

Please bear in mind, if you are looking for a very specific breed, size or temperament, or have a very busy household, it may take longer for us to find your perfect match.

Many of the dogs in our care may have had a difficult start in life, or have specific medical or behavioural needs, and need a quieter household or one with no other pets. We try to match each dog with a family where we think they will have the best chance of success.
