My husband and I have been Dogs Trust supporters for a very long time. We originally began to support them when we used to live in the UK. So, when they opened a Rehoming Centre in Ireland after we moved back, we were delighted to be able to support them here too.
We adopted our lovely dog Lucy from the Rehoming Centre when she was four months old, she’s 11 now and we adore her. She’s great fun, still full of life and gets us out for a walk every day.
We both had dogs growing up so neither of us can imagine life without one. Dogs Trust’s motto to never put a healthy dog down is one of the biggest reasons we have chosen to support them for so long. I’ve visited their Rehoming Centre and the standard of care they provide for the dogs is fantastic.
We chose to include Dog Trust in our Will so that when we are no longer here, we can still be there for dogs who are in trouble. Whatever good we’ve done in life we want to make sure there’s some left over to continue helping when we’re gone.
Terri’s gift means that countless more dogs can be saved and cared for until they find their Forever Home. Her legacy will help create a better Ireland for the animals she adores.
