Volunteer Educational Workshop Presenter

Main Contact: Volunteer Co-Ordinator & Senior Education Officer
Purpose of the Role: To schedule and deliver Safety Workshops to primary schools in your region. To promote responsible dog ownership, animal welfare and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- To familiarise yourself with key workshops we deliver to primary schools and preschools.
- To liaise with local schools and secure bookings.
- Report any feedback to the Senior Education Officer after the completion of each workshop.
- Liaise with our Education Team and Volunteer Co-Ordinator as required.
- To deliver our Dogs Trust workshops to a high standard, maintaining Dogs Trust messaging throughout and keeping in line with our Mission.
Required Skills:
- Passionate about dogs and dog welfare.
- Confidence with public speaking and presenting.
- Excellent face-to-face/communication skills with a friendly manner and the ability to answer questions on Dogs Trust and it’s Operations.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Conscientious with a can-do attitude with the ability to follow instruction.
What this role will offer you:
We will provide you with a main contact who will train you to deliver our core primary workshops and guide you through this role. You will receive a uniform and a USB stick containing all the resources needed for teaching. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with your community and promote Dogs Trust’s safety messages, which will directly impact the welfare of dogs in your area.
