Customer Services Rehoming Team Leader

Location: Dublin/Hybrid | Full-time – 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

Four Dogs Trust members of staff having a meeting in an office

Are you an inspirational leader and confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, emotionally meaningful environment? Do you have the empathy to support dog owners and to manage complex, sensitive conversations?

At Dogs Trust, every call answered, every message replied to, and every interaction managed with care helps strengthen relationships, build trust, and drive long-term support for dogs in need. As our new Customer Services Rehoming Team Leader you’ll lead our award-winning customer service team combining leadership, compassion, and strategic thinking to help dogs and people find each other.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and inspire a small, customer-focused team - fostering a positive, collaborative environment where people thrive
  • Monitor and drive performance through regular 1-2-1s, coaching, and annual appraisals - supporting individual development and team success
  • Produce clear, data-driven reports to track team performance and highlight improvements to internal stakeholders
  • Guide and support rehoming conversations, matching dogs to adopters based on individual needs and behaviours
  • Stay up to date on dogs available for adoption both locally and regionally to inform conversations and improve matching
  • Contribute to wider organisational goals by supporting response handling linked to campaigns and fundraising activity

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven leadership in a customer service environment—with supervisory or team leader experience
  • Strong people management and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communicator—clear, and confident with both written and verbal communication
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Tech savvy—confident with Microsoft 365 and customer service systems/CRMs
  • Data-aware—comfortable interpreting service metrics and customer feedback to drive improvements

Desirable:

  • A full clean driving licence (due to the rural location of the Rehoming Centre)

Why join us?

  • A fulfilling leadership role with a real impact
  • Ongoing development and training opportunities
  • Opportunities to gain experience in one of the most respected animal welfare charities in Ireland
  • The chance to help dogs find the loving homes they deserve

Ready to put your skills to work for a cause that matters?
