About Ruby

Ruby is an incredibly loving young shepherd with a huge heart and an even bigger enthusiasm for people. She absolutely adores human interaction and would love nothing more than to be best friends with everyone she meets. In her excitement she can be a little bouncy and may jump up to say hello, so shell benefit from some gentle guidance to help her learn polite greetings. Having spent most of her life living outdoors, Ruby is still learning the ropes of home life. Shell need patient support with things like toilet training and understanding which spaces are hers to explore and which are off-limits. Once she bonds with her people, Ruby loves to be close to them at all times and can find being alone a little worrying. For this reason, shes looking for a home where someone is around a lot initially and can help her gradually build confidence with short periods of alone time. Ruby would thrive in a home with a garden where she can run, play, and burn off her extra energy. As a clever and curious girl, shes very good at finding any gaps to squeeze through, so a secure garden is essential. She has previously lived happily with a calm dog and could share her new home with another relaxed canine companion, but shed be just as content being the only pet and soaking up all the love for herself. With patience, consistency, and plenty of affection, Ruby will make a wonderfully devoted and loving companion.
