About Stanley

Stanley is a young Collie pup who is still finding his paws in a big, busy world. Everyday life can feel quite overwhelming for him, and new or unfamiliar sights and sounds can be a little scary. While we don't know much about his early experiences, it's clear that Stanley missed out on some of the training and socialisation he needed as a youngster. This is something he has only just begun to work through now. Despite his skittish nature, Stanley is an incredibly loving and affectionate boy. He adores playing ball, running freely in secure fields, and learning new tricks. True to his breed, he has brains to burn and is always eager to learn, especially when training is fun, kind, and rewarding. Stanley may take a little time to build trust with new people, but once he does, he bonds deeply. When you're "his person," he'll stick to you like glue and give you unwavering loyalty and love for life. Stanley is hoping to find a calm, adult-only home with patient adopters who are committed to continuing his training and helping him learn that the world isn't such a frightening place. A quiet location with a secure garden is essential, allowing him to gradually and safely build confidence around everyday noises. Stanley could happily live with another calm and confident dog who can show him the ropes, but he would also be perfectly content as your one and only companion. With time, understanding, and love, Stanley has all the potential to blossom into an incredible lifelong friend.
