Operations Training Coordinator
Team: Operations | Location: Dublin Rehoming Centre | Temporary: 12-month contract

Dogs Trust is Ireland’s largest dog welfare charity, working to ensure every dog has a safe, happy life. At our Dublin Rehoming Centre, we care for dogs with a wide range of needs and that work depends on well-trained, supported people.
We’re now recruiting a Training Coordinator to support staff and volunteers across Operations by delivering practical, welfare-led training and development.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver and coordinate induction and ongoing training for staff and volunteers.
Support learning in the Development Block, modelling best practice in daily care, handling and welfare routines. - Work closely with Dog Welfare Supervisors, Behaviour Officers and managers to embed learning into everyday practice.
- Provide coaching and guidance to build confidence and consistency across teams.
Maintain accurate training records and support continuous improvement of learning approaches. - Promote safe, welfare-led practice across Operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting or delivering training, inductions or learning activities.
- Confidence explaining tasks clearly and supporting people with different learning styles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An organised, practical approach to planning and coordinating training.
- A genuine interest in dog welfare and best practice in animal care environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and roles.
- Commitment to Dogs Trust values and ways of working.
Desirable:
- Experience working in an operational, welfare or volunteer-led environment
- Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting staff development
- Understanding of animal welfare or behaviour-based working environments
- Experience maintaining training records or learning documentation
- Familiarity with health & safety or compliance-based training
