My first interaction with Dogs Trust was after my beautiful collie Sheeba died. I was devastated and still find it hard to think about her passing.
With Sheeba gone I really missed having a dog around the house. I’ve always had dogs and I honestly can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a dog.
I’m also a firm believer in ‘adopt don’t shop’ so Dogs Trust seemed like the perfect place to try and find the right dog for us. That’s where we met Titan, I knew straight away he was for us.
I really believe in the work Dogs Trust do and one of the biggest things for me is how they stick by the dogs no matter how long it takes to find the right home for them.
Young pups and old dogs, big or small, Dogs Trust are there for the dogs who need them. But they need all the help they can get and that’s why I chose to include a gift to Dog Trust in my Will.
My husband is a dog lover too so he was keen to leave something that would continue to help when we are gone. My boys are supportive of our decision, they understand how much it means to us.
Heather’s gift means that even after she’s gone, she will continue to make it possible for dogs like Titan to get the second chance they deserve for many years to come.
