Tiny. Alone. Unsteady on his paws. Seven-week-old Sean was shaking with fear.
He didn’t feel safe. His siblings – who he’d spent every day of his life with – had gone. So had his mother.
Sean couldn’t cuddle up in her soft, comforting fur, or hide behind her big, strong shoulders. Tiny Sean was all on his own.
Thankfully, Sean was spotted on the roadside before anything happened to him. But he could so easily have been run over.
So how did Sean get there? Was he lost? Or did someone decide they didn’t want him anymore? Was poor tiny Sean abandoned?
We just don’t know. And cases like Sean’s are the reason we launched Ireland’s first Dog Census last year.
We’re determined to do everything we can to help Ireland’s dogs, and their owners live their best lives together. But in the meantime, more dogs like Sean need to be rescued, cared for and rehomed.
