Dogs Trust receives an amazing €38,000 from Maxi Zoo
We are excited to announce the receipt of an amazing gift of €38,252 from Ireland’s largest pet retailer, Maxi Zoo. The donation from Maxi Zoo is due to the success of their annual ‘Friendship Connects, Give Paw’ fundraising campaign and was donated to us as their 2019 charity partner.
The campaign, launched by top Irish Model and TV personality Glenda Gilson and her four-legged friend, Yazz ran from October to January across 20 Maxi Zoo stores nationwide. Glenda commented “As a true dog lover I’m delighted to have been part of this campaign which raised an incredible amount of money for Dogs Trust. Every dog deserves a second chance and Dogs Trust works so hard to find them their forever home, which is why this campaign was so special.” All the proceeds from the limited edition ‘Give Paw’ bracelet will help to provide all the dogs in our Rehoming Centre with the resources they so deserve, from food and dog treats, to interactive toys.
Becky Bristow, Executive Director, Dogs Trust Ireland added “We are extremely grateful for this amazing support and wonderful gift from Maxi Zoo’s ‘Give Paw’ campaign which will benefit all of the dogs and puppies in our Rehoming Centre. Maxi Zoo shares our passion for giving our dogs the very best care we can, and their efforts, and those of their customers, will go a long way towards ensuring that the dogs in our care are as happy and comfortable as possible. On behalf of all team, including our furry friends in Dogs Trust, I extend our sincerest thanks to all those who supported this amazing Maxi Zoo campaign.”
Anthony Cremin, Marketing Manager Maxi Zoo Ireland said “We’re so grateful to everyone who supported our ‘Give Paw’ campaign for Dogs Trust and are very pleased to be able to contribute the outstanding amount of €38,252 to our very deserving charity partner. As a nation of pet lovers, it’s no surprise that the public really gets behind this campaign every year, so we’d like to thank our customers, first and foremost, for helping us to make a real difference in this way.”
