Event time: 26 October
Here ye, here ye.
There’s something spooky happening in the Dogs Trust rehoming centre. Something ghastly, and you’ll simply die if you miss it.
Some have called it a party; some call it an event. We just call it Howl-O-Ween.
This gathering of boys and ghouls will involve some of the most dastardly activities known to man.
Rumour has it there will be a workshop on keeping your Hounds safe at Halloween. There is also talk of a behind-the-scenes tour of their fangtastic rehoming centre.
All attendees will be quizzed in the sudden death game “Howl or Scowl Quiz”, and there may even be some treats (and maybe some tricks) to feast on while you celebrate
If you manage to survive all that, we will then participate in the annual reading of an infamous legend. A legend so scary, that it can only be told once a year, for fear that sleep will escape us forever. The legend we call “The Werewolf of Dogs Trust” will be read to all who dares hear it…and once you hear this tale, it will stay with you to the grave.
Oh, and there is one more thing. Due to the terrifying nature of this event, we cannot risk having civilians fainting in our corridors, so we insist all attendees come in their Halloween costumes. When on the tour we may ask that masks be removed-as not to frighten the dogs, but facepaint, costumes etc are all welcome. In fact, we may even have a prize for the best fancy dress on the day.
So, dear reader, do you dare attend this fiendish celebration? Tickets cost €5, or €18 for a family ticket (four people)
Doors open at 12pm, and this event is for children aged 6-12 and their families. Unfortunately, we cannot allow any dogs. It’s too scary for them.
