Pronounced "show-low-its-queen-tlee", this breed is also known as the Mexican Hairless or Xolo for short. They have a broad skull, long muzzle with nose that is either black or flesh, and black or golden eyes with a slight almond shape. Another prominent feature are the pointy, bat-like ears.
Xoloitzcuintli has two varieties, hairless and haired. The hairless type has no coat except for a long tuft on the head and another on the tail tip. The coated type has a fluffy black or grey coat. There are Standard, Miniature, and Toy versions of the Xolo.
