H: Health: Puppies

• As soon as you get a puppy, register him with a vet and make an appointment for a general check up and to talk about vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. Puppies from Dogs Trust will be vaccinated and microchipped.
• Start a routine of daily grooming and tooth brushing as soon as possible.
• Your puppy will shed his baby teeth between three and six months, replaced by adult teeth at around seven months. This will make his mouth sore and cause chewing.
• If your puppy shows any signs of ill health, take him to the vet. At this vulnerable age it is much better to be safe than sorry.
