Neutering
Our neutering campaign aims to tackle the huge problem of stray and abandoned dogs in Ireland, eventually putting an end to the unnecessary destruction of all healthy dogs. By encouraging more people to neuter their dogs we can greatly reduce the numbers of unplanned & unwanted litters of puppies being born every year.
Since 2005 we have spent around €5m neutering approximately 50,000 Irish dogs. The subsidised neutering scheme is available to anyone in Ireland who is receiving one of the means-tested benefits listed below. You will need to take your dog to a vet that participates in the scheme.
