SWEET SHERBERT IS BACK ON 3 PAWS!
11 October 2011
The sweet natured Labrador cross has been nursed back to health and is now looking for his forever home.
This is Sherbert a courageous 2 year old Labrador cross. He arrived at Dogs Trust with several large wounds on his back leg.
The veterinary team tried to save Sherberts leg, but the damage was so severe it had to be amputated. Despite only having 3 legs Sherbert is back on his 3 healthy paws and he is now looking for an active home. He's a typical lab, playful, bouncy and full of love!
Mark Beazley, Executive Director at Dogs Trust is calling for people to continue donating to the charity thus enabling them to continue helping dogs like Sherbert who need specialist surgery.
"We are seeing an increase in dogs being abandoned and our centre is always full". Dogs Trust currently have over 170 dogs and puppies in their rehoming centre. Mark Beazley explains, “These are difficult times for everyone but we are confident someone out there will rehome Sherbert, he's a terrific dog who has been through a lot and now needs lots of TLC”.
If you can offer Sherbert or any of the other dogs a home contact the rehoming team on 01 879 1000 or visit www.dogstrust.ie
